Kroger & Sysco Sign Agreement to Share Employees
As the coronavirus pandemic intensifies, Kroger is taking on tens of thousands of workers, many of whom were recently let go from restaurants and other businesses hit hard by the coronavirus, and the company has developed partnerships with a number of such enterprises. On Friday (3/27/2020), Sysco Corporation announced it had become a partner in this growing Kroger alliance. The two companies signed a formal agreement, under which Sysco workers who have been temporarily furloughed can be absorbed by Kroger. Their partnership will last at least 30 days, according to terms agreed upon by both companies.
