Employers’ Plans for Office Closures are Extending Out

In terms of mandated social distancing and office closures, how far out in time is your company currently planning for? We posed this question in two separate surveys to HR leaders, two weeks apart, and it’s clear that as the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic continues to get worse, organizations are shifting their expectations from “short term” to “long term.”

The two big trends we’ve seen in the last two weeks:

  • 5x more firms are now planning social distancing measures and office closures more than 8 weeks out.
  • 48% of organizations were planning out 4 weeks or less. Now, 59% are planning for 4 weeks or more.
