At this meeting, the board revisited the important topic of talent metrics, with special guest Dr. John Boudreau.
Recognized worldwide as a leading evidence-based visionary on the future of work and organization, John Boudreau, Ph.D., is well-known for his breakthrough research on the bridge between work, superior human capital, leadership, and sustainable competitive advantage. He is Professor Emeritus of Management and Organization and a Senior Research Scientist with the Center for Effective Organizations, at the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California. His large-scale research studies and focused field research addresses the future of work and the global HR profession, work automation, HR measurement and analytics, decision-based HR, executive mobility, HR information systems and organizational staffing and development.
John was also joined by his longtime collaborator Pete Ramstad, globally recognized thought leader, author, and former CHRO.
John and Pete have been exploring some fascinating ideas about the decades-long efforts of talent professionals to use data and analytics to demonstrate the impact of our work. They postulate that the answer may not be finding the perfect metrics. Rather, it is to address two more fundamental issues.
