Cross’ just-released new book, The Microstress Effect, How Little Things Pile Up and Create Big Problems—and What to Do about It (Harvard Business Review Press; April 18, 2023), has received widespread acclaim leveraging original research to describe the phenomenon that is perpetuating an ongoing crisis of wellbeing. “I look forward to working closely with the i4cp research team and member community to provide a new perspective to many of the challenges facing human capital leaders today,” said Cross. “i4cp is focused on discovering next practices—our combined research has repeatedly demonstrated that if leaders integrate social capital practices into their human capital initiatives, organizations have incredible opportunity to leapfrog ahead of the competition.”
