Talent Risk Research and Member Next Practices

Ten member companies joined our discussion on talent risk - sharing practices and tools for managing talent risk and building support for those practices. Some highlights:

·       A discussion on how to improve the sponsorship of workforce planning including a Strategic Workforce Planning Project Governance Model shared by Ford.

·       A discussion of practical tools and applications in a deeper dive into talent risk management which summarized recent i4cp research and critical questions raised.

·       It’s not just about closing talent gaps – enhancing business continuity is an important factor, suggested Toyota Financial Services who shared their workforce planning journey (and how to help the HR Business partner with “hair on fire.”)

·       A critical concern goes beyond the cost of replacing talent – but to the importance of where to invest, noted Macys.

·       New data tools can help - predictive analytics can support headcount development and planning, offered Flex who have developed a workforce planning tool for managing direct and indirect labor.
