The Top LMS Platforms
A Learning Management System (LMS) is a fundamental platform to most large enterprise organizations. It provides management support for a broad range of learning-related activities including self-paced e-Learning, both in-person and online instructor-led training, and more.
At a minimum, an LMS provides progress and completion tracking, and other compliance-related support and reporting, while variously also supporting social and collaborative learning, mobile performance support, employee-driven upskilling, etc.
Not only is the LMS typically the biggest technology expense in the L&D technology ecosystem, but choosing the wrong one (or implementing it incorrectly) can hamper learners, frustrate leaders, and discourage the growth of a strong learning culture.
i4cp surveyed hundreds of L&D leaders and tech professionals about the LMS platforms currently in use in their organizations, and the impact of those platforms on the business. Here’s what they said.
